The Syrian civilian war has gotten completely out of hand. Syria has seen a lot of civilian deaths and the most destructions ever recorded in history.
The civil war has been strengthened by the fact that the Syrian government want to control the rebel groups and the rebel groups are having none of that. Instead in its wake, Syria now has a lot of detainees in their jails who are undergoing a lot physical, emotional, and sexual abuse in the jails. The cities that were once outstanding in their life and beauty are now desolate and are covered with dead bodies and debris. There are hundreds if not thousands of refugees in the neighboring countries now who have nothing they can.
Iran, however, has for decades been funding, training and offering weapons to militia and terror groups while offering them shelter at the same time. Any interference by other countries and humanitarian bodies has been ignored. There is no clear reason given as to why this is still ongoing in Iran. The US government has tried to get involved in dissolving this ongoing practice for years without much success. All that everyone knows for now is that Iran has been arming itself for years and that it has heavy and high end weaponry in its possession.
Throughout the Syrian civilian war, Iran has supported the Iranian government under President Assad’s reign. President Assad took on the presidency without much experience and without the support of Iran, this regime would have fallen as soon as the war started. Iran worked hard to provide whatever the government needed to fight against the rebels in Syria just so that the government is not overthrown. Iran has trained military groups both in Syria and in Lebanon who would join the war and be well-equipped to fight against the opposition rebels.
In the beginning, Iran only supported Syria by offering training for the regime forces. After a while, Iran escalated its support by actually sending their own troops to fight in the Syrian civil war. Another thing Iran did is to add into the chemical weaponry of Syria. Iranian scientists were sent to Syria and they were given chemicals they would use to build those chemical weapons.
The arms cannot be transported by road nor by train, the only way Iran gets these weapons to Syria is by air. Iran and Syria have worked to create a safe corridor where they transport these arms. The US has authorized three airlines to transport these arms to Syria from Iran. Turkish authorities are said to have confiscated a truck which was headed for Syria and was full of weapons.
